Naming dilemma | Farinha do mesmo saco?

My next post was going to be about running shoes. Their evolution from the moccasins of the first half of the 20th century to the heavyweights of the 00's, and their current involution. Then, a fundamental issue came up and it became impossible to write further without dealing with it.

There are basically two genera of minimalist shoes: the ones that evolved from running shoes and the ones that evolved from bare feet. Although some may argue that this is a classical example of convergent evolution, they are completely different beasts.

Huaraches, Vivos, Zems, Vibrams, Feelmaxes, Skoras and the like are completely different from the New Balance MT 101, Nike Free, Saucony Kinvara, Inov8 X-Talon 160, running flats and such. They have different heritages and phylosophies, and, most importantly, different feel and structure.

For this reason, I cannot call them all "minimalist shoes". "Barefoot shoe" is an oxymoron and simply not true. Even the most minimalist of the shoes does not compare to running truly barefoot. So what should we name these two classes of shoes? The ones that evolved from barefeet and the ones that evolved from running shoes?

I'm waiting for your suggestions on the comments below. Or am I talking about a non-issue?

Huaraches, Vivos, Zems, Vibrams, Feelmaxes, Skoras e semelhantes são completamente diferentes do New Balance MT 101, Nike Free, Saucony Kinvara, Inov8 X-Talon 160, running flats e afins.
